Jeff Bland joined The Balmoral, Edinburgh, in June 1997 as Executive Chef. He is currently responsible for a team of 31 chefs, spread over four restaurants and bars outlets, including number one, now firmly established as one of Edinburgh’s top restaurants, and Hadrian’s as well as banqueting operations. Jeff and the number one team retained their Michelin Star for the fifth year running, in January 2008 and received the “Fine Dining Experience” Award at the Scottish Restaurant Awards. His other accolades include Drambuie Scottish Chef of the Year in 2003 and Icons of Scotland Award in 2004.
